Lipedema (lipoedema)

Lipedema is a chronic and progressive disorder of the adipose (fat) tissue. It is sometimes called "painful fat syndrome". Even though as much as 11% of the post-puberty female population are likely to suffer from lipedema, it is still rarely recognized and diagnosed.

 Lipedema causes an abnormal build-up of fat deposits most frequently on the legs and arms, but also in the area of the buttocks and hips. The disease mainly affects women and can be divided into three different phases. The first symptoms of this disease are typically feelings of tension and pain in the affected areas. 

These specially designed compression garments are suitable for patients who have undergone liposuction due to lymphatic problems in the lower limbs and are perfect for everyday wear for people living with lipedema (lipoedema).
